I advise organisations on IT architecture and technology strategy, build the solutions, and operate them for the long term. Projects range from endpoint management at Siemens scale to self-hosted infrastructure for associations, with tools still running years after first deployment.
About me
There is a person behind the work, not an anonymous vendor. I am Bao Trung Le Nguyen, an IT architect based in Munich. Sixteen years at Siemens taught me to build complex systems so they still run years later and stay understandable for others. Work with me and you get one direct contact who names the weak spots instead of hiding them.
How I can help
01
Architecture
I build stable IT architectures that connect old systems and new platforms for the long run and still hold when requirements grow.
Examples include a self-hosted Matrix chat platform serving 2,000+ members of Mensa in Deutschland↗, a reverse proxy in front of the association's member database with measurable impact on load times and backend pressure↗, and a prototype for a decentralised, encrypted P2P file system in Go built for a bachelor's thesis↗.
02
Operations & DevOps
I operate and automate systems so they run reliably and largely look after themselves for years.
That includes the Matrix chat system for Mensa in Deutschland, running in production since 2022↗, an automated signing tool for iOS and Android apps that ran in production for seven years before being handed off to the team↗, the CI/CD pipeline and server infrastructure for the Mensa kids and youth camps staff register↗, and the evaluation and deployment of a documentation platform for Mensa International↗.
03
Consulting
I translate between technology and decision-making so the people in charge pick solutions that are technically sound and last in production.
That ranges from direct conversations with manufacturers like Apple, Google, and Samsung on device roadmaps and enterprise suitability↗ to sole project ownership and stakeholder coordination for Mensa Deutschland's Matrix chat platform↗ and developing a company-wide app distribution portal in close alignment with developers, service architects, and management↗.
