Biber - Camp Supervisor Register

Overview

Biber is the camp supervisors register for the children’s and youth camps of Mensa in Deutschland e.V., tracking the interests of supervisors, qualifications, and assignments. I automated the release process, provisioned the server environment, and took over ongoing operations so the developer could focus entirely on the application logic.

Responsibilities

Developer support

Building a CI/CD pipeline with automated publication of the developer’s build artefacts, alongside advising on software and hardware architecture.

Server resources and operations

Setting up separate test and production environments, integrating with the existing authentication infrastructure, hosting the software, and providing ongoing backups and server maintenance.

Stack

CI/CD platform, Docker, Linux server on Hetzner, Restic, and authentication via existing IdP/SSO solutions.
